Baffling scientific principles turn into fun-filled visual treats for young inquisitive minds was showcased at Chitkara International School, Chandigarh. This “Fun with Science” workshop featuring the whacky and energetic Prateek Sethi, F.A.Q (Frequently Asked Questions – POGO Fame) was designed for the school students and the parents. This workshop was created for students aged 8-14 years and to encourage them to question and learn the process of exploration and discovery via experiments and cool trivia.
Speaking on this one-of-a-kind workshop, Dr. Niyati Chitkara, Principal, Chitkara International School, said, “Making learning fun for kids is something we strongly believe in. F.A.Q has been one of the very few STEM based shows, which has let the young minds to dream bigger, think louder, play smarter and bounce higher. With this workshop we aim to re-introduce science as an engaging, fun and exciting subject.”

In the hour and half ling workshop, Prateek demonstrated and engaged students & parents in his experiments. Workshop witnessed lot of questions on Friction; how friction is formed, the concept was demonstrated with the scientific way using two notebooks. The other concept was on “Non-Newtonian” liquid, in this activity students discovered that cornstarch goo –can act almost like a solid, and can also flow like a liquid. In other experiment Prateek created erupting snow using SAP powder and the audience couldn’t take off their eyes from the amazing activity. With no unimaginative textbooks, no homework and no exams the workshop stimulated young minds to discover science experientially, encouraged students to realize the mechanics of the physical, biological and chemical world around them.
F.A.Q.’s fame, Prateek Sethi said, “This is my first workshop with Chitkara and I have enjoyed every moment of bringing science experiments to life.
